1996’s Twister, starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton, was a massive hit that blew audiences away with its spectacular depiction of storms. It took 28 years to make a sequel, but it felt like a tornado when it struck.
Twisters, directed by Lee Isaac Chung, is a standalone sequel to the previous movie. It follows a former storm chaser, Kate Cooper (Daisy Edgar-Jones), and social-media star Tyler Owens (Glen Powell) as they get caught in the middle of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma.

How to watch Twisters on VOD
The movie is now available to rent and buy in the US and UK on platforms such as Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.
You can rent Twisters for $19.99 / £15.99 or buy it for $24.99 / £19.99.
When will Twisters be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
In the UK, the physical copies of Twisters are available now on Amazon UK and in other stores. They hit shelves on 14 October 2024. The DVD version costs £9.99, the Blu-ray – £14.99, and 4K Ultra HD – £24.99.
In the States, the film will be released on 22 October 2024. You can pre-order physical copies of the movie on the Amazon website. Currently, they are available at special prices: the DVD edition costs $19.95; the Blu-ray is priced at $24.95, and the 4K Ultra HD costs $29.95.

When could Twisters be released on streaming services?
In the US, Twisters, distributed by Universal Pictures, will first stream on Peacock.
However, in Europe and the UK, the film is distributed by Warner Bros. That means that while in Europe Twisters will arrive on Max, UK-based viewers can catch it on Sky Cinema and Now.
For now, it’s unknown when the movie will be available for streaming. Based on previous releases, we estimate that it may happen around a month and a half after the DVD premiere. Thus, Twisters may drop on Peacock, Max and Now in November/December 2024.
However, if we again take Oppenheimer as an example, the film on streaming platforms may not appear until 2025.
